I guess your "gentle push" method is not recommended as someone may be too aggressive in their pushing---and dent the hood

Yup, aluminium hood skin - easy to dent and difficult to repair. Unless you are these guys of course:I guess your "gentle push" method is not recommended as someone may be too aggressive in their pushing---and dent the hood
