Registered 2002 SLK230
Intro. (Keep getting request to do an intro. (I thought I'd previously done this.) dennphill herein sunny Niceville these days. Loving retirement in the ole "FLA". I was listening to Tallahassee Lassie on XM radio's 60s station and in the lyrics they say "down in FLA," and it got me to thinking just low long a go we went to 2-letter state identifications! (Thanks USPS.) Millennials won't know what I'm talking about, but that's enough to say about MY age. The 2002 SLK (bought new) is my second such. The original was bought in Germany as a "Jahreswagen" and was a 2000 that I bought with low miles and less than a year old for about $21K. We left Germany in 2002 and I sold it for just under $21K, and ordered a new 2002 (same color, same specs except the US version had cruise control and a CD changer in the trunk) that set me back about $42K. I have always been thinking I wish I'd grey-marketed the car through Canada to the US! anyway, it's a recreational driver with (now) about 85K miles. It will be my last sports car. This is a nice site. Use in the past has been appreciated. Come visit us in the Panahandle...or the Redneck Riviera as I've heard it called. Nice beaches - nice people!
