We are off to Le Mans next month in the SLK, should be a good trip. We usually go from the midlands to dover then down through Northern France to Le Mans.
This year however my son is working in Swindon so we are sailing from Portsmouth to Cherbourg. Leaving on the 07.30 ferry on the Friday morning which means we should arrive at around 1.30 in the afternoon. Still in time for the pitwalk and then into the town for the drivers parade.
It will be a challenge to see if we can fit all the camping gear as well as chairs and other essentials in the boot.

Looking forward to some good long top down runs in the French countryside

Have a good trip. One of my Bucket List items. Must do it one year.

It's surprising what you can get in a SLK if you pack carefully. Make sure the cover closes

Post some photos :tu:

Thanks
It's a great atmosphere. The campsite is inside the circuit so there is no escape from the noise. The race itself is a fantastic spectacle. The crowd is a great European mix with everyone getting along. There are plenty or bars. The Friday night is like one giant pi**up.

Understand you can get two sets of golf clubs in the boot so hopefully all the camping gear will fit.
