I read somewhere on this forum that it’s not a good idea to kneel on your heated seats to clean the inside of the back window, as it can damage the heating elements.
This is not obvious, and it would normally be the natural thing to do.
Are there any other things members know about that are potentially damaging, but similarly not obvious?

For R170,
Spare wheel bolts.

When using the spare wheel some (most?) must use different bolts (shorter) provided with spare.
Some cars use normal bolts. Check labels on spare and owners manual in car.

Why?
To do with thickness of hubs on spare. Some have 15” spares, some have 16” spares. They look quite different.

Don’t ignore the rear drain holes too.

Don’t get things stuck in the trunk latch!

Don’t delay repairing the roof cylinders if the pump resevoir level starts going down, it’ll ruin the headliner.

Don’t forget to lower the roof at every month, the O Rings like to be kept moist. Much easier than a repair.

And Don’t leave these cars in the garage, drive them.
