I can see this place from where I live! I'm in Trelogan, too! I've only just seen this thread. So are there any SLK World members going to be there, tomorrow? i'd have liked to have met anyone so I'd need to know the time and intentions of any members who might be there? Thanks

Will you also be there ?

We're taking the 350 and 55.
Probably arrive circa 7pm.

Look forward to meeting you both.

Note Best go slow up the drive. It can develop he odd pothole.
Nothing too serious, but who wants a jolt.

Hi Myk & Debs,

Sorry, but it's a bit too far for us for tomorrow evening!

Are you looking for another dog, or just emptying your wallets for a good cause? We have just (8 weeks ago) rescued a little English Setter from Spain, so another one is not really an option at the moment

Hope you all have a good evening, but don't let the SLKs take over the event!!!

Dave & Carol

Excellent meet.
In cause, range and folk.

David is less than a mile away, but missed out on least travelled.
Martin and Peter were over from Holland. Furthest travelled award.

Great to meet you all and have a good chin wag.

A 5th SLK joined us but was not keen on talking with SLK owners.

The SLKs were most of one range SLK and model R171 (4).
Folks enjoyed them.

Star was a Gilbern.
Close runner up was a Morgan custom 3 wheeler.
Or maybe the Lotus Cortina.

We had GTs, Porsche, BM, Audi, a rally C4 (cracker) and a host of others.
Plenty of money raised.

A massive thank you to NCAR.
Not only excellent hosts, they also provided a mobility scooter for one of our party to enjoy the event.

@DaveR. Congratulations on the furball. What a looker.
We ducked the tour because someone has a habit of considering dogs that only just fit the SUV, let alone the SLKS. She still spotted one though.

Many thanks to @SmokeyTheBandit (nice 55, needs to be seen over here more often ;) ) and @DAJ 190
for joining us. The organisers were made up (Hence the hasty photo session at the end).

Some shots of the open toppers.

Some of the stars (aside of our SLKS) >:D

The purple 1973 Gilbern is not standard. He likes a 5.0 litre.
However, he also own a completely standard (yellow) Gilbern from the early run.
That is completely standard. Smashing fella to chat to.
Fitting that a Welsh made car should be at a Welsh meet.

Few more and that's it.

There were more there, but this lot gives an idea.

Of 4 meets, they cancelled one (bad weather) it looks to be catching on.

Nice to see the pictures of the gilbern

I used to have a Genie, chassis number 006.

Unfortunatly during its restoration some oiks set fire to the Garage it was in (I had fitted a new shell after repairing (re-making!) the box chasis).

Fortunatly it was stripped, and all interior was in storage elswhere.

Hundreds of hours work lost!

Had to sell it on as a project as lost the garage!
