Howdy, Wow, so many instructions for a Newguy to follow. And three msgs in the inbox already. Will get to them folks as soon as retirement duties permit. Gonna take me a month of Sundays to catch up and I just joined. Ok, here goes. About 1.5 months ago I drove to Salem, Or and purchased a black 2015 SLK 250. Now it's home is in Klamath County, (Southern) Oregon and it resides in the third bay of our garage. When I picked it up the A1 service notice lit up every time I started it up - the dealer I bought it from was ignoring the notice. Then I noted a light up front was loose in mounting, the "c" pillars were peeling, and the driver side of the tail fin was loose. I took it to closest Mercedes dealer and they took care of the A1 service. They fixed the three problems noted above under warranty. I'm still learning all of the bells and whistles on the car, and my wife especially enjoys the heat blown on her neck from the back of the passenger seat. Being above 4000 feet on back side of the Cascade mtns I'm getting ready to put it away for the winter and would like to connect up a battery minder for the winter. Hope I'm correct in assuming that the flat post sticking up in front of the battery is where the + connects and have not found what looks like a designed-in - ground point yet. Anyone care to comment on that?
