Just a quick hello
I'm 3 weeks in to owning a new SLC AMG43 . It replaces a Lotus Elise which was a fantastic car but not easy to get in and out of & not really suitable for work.

I was looking for a fast "sensible" 2 seater convertible, having previously had 5 different varieties of 911 I would always view the Boxster as a poor substitute so ruled that out, I think of an Audi TT as a chop top golf so wouldn't have one of those, considered an 124 Abarth but couldn't bring myself to spend that amount on a FIAT.

I then read an article about the SLK55 & started doing a bit of research, one thing lead to another & then finding the huge discount available on a new 43 decided to take the plunge.

Absolutely loving the car, although have only done a few hundred miles so not pushed hard yet. Am hoping the fuel consumption improves as the engine loosens up, 18.5mpg so far is worse than I was expecting.

No photos yet as its been raining all weekend, but its black with the night pack, so expect I'll have to clean it every few days to keep it looking good.

Welcome from Hexham up in the north east. I just picked up my 1st SLK yesterday in Bedford so must have been quite close to you.
