Welcome to SLKWorld.com: The #1 Mercedes-Benz SLK Forum from Valrico, Florida!

Please update your location/vehicle (model and year,ie 2007 SLK 350) in your profile as it helps the members answer your questions which usually are based on that information if you haven’t.
Follow exactly to update: ‘Usercp’ at the top left of page, then ‘edit your details’ on the left side, ‘additional information’ near the bottom, edit your ‘location’ and ‘vehicle’. Your profile is NOT updated in your ‘personal garage’.

Some tips to make your visit here more enjoyable:
If you haven’t, please use the 'search' feature at the top right of the page for your questions as they have probably been asked before. Remember, ‘Search’ is your friend.
If you wish to become PM (Private Message) capable, you need 15 posts. To get those 15 posts quickly, just go to the ‘New members introduce yourself here’ section and welcome enough new members to obtain your needed posts to PM.
Want to post a picture? Start a new thread or make a post, click ‘edit’, click on the ‘paper clip’ or ‘advanced’ and/or ‘manage attachments’ then ‘choose file’ then ‘upload’ and ‘submit’! If Iphone pics, you need to rename any additional pics as Iphone names its pics all the same, image.jpg.
Want to ‘like’ or thank’ someone’s comments? Use the ‘like’ button to the right or the ‘Thanks’ button, bottom right of any post you like. This saves you having to comment.
New members should be aware that the 'New Posts' link next to the 'Search' link top right of the info bar is a great way to see all of the posts you have missed since you were on the forum last. Remember to click 'mark forums read' under ‘quick links’ when you leave.
Post your vin in the Vehicle Datacard Request section to get a datacard (options on your car) free.
Also vote or enter our Ride of the Month competition: http://www.slkworld.com/rotm-submissions-voting/

Thank you

where you live, what seasons you drive during and how hard you drive all effect the answer, along with things I forgot. knowing where you live and what is on your vehicle all are needed to give an answer. as has been suggested, a search may give you the answer or at least allow you to better frame your question.

Greetings from Tennessee !

Ah, while I'm at it let me define beauty. :)

As has been said, it's a little hard to pin things down. I read a lot about Michelin Pilot Sports, Continental Potenza DWS's, and others. My main goal is longer treadwear, so I have Kuhmo Ecsta's. As has been said I would search thread titles for tyres or tires and see what you learn.

Welcome to the Forum.

Contisport 5s or Goodyear eagle F1 asymmetric seem to come top of the tyre tests. I have the contis on the rear of the SLK350 and have been delighted with them.

A little introduction about yourself and car would be appreciated - and welcome to the forum.
There are so many variables regarding tires/tyres - try search as the others suggested, then give the forum some feedback as to your requirements...

There are question you need to answer.
1. extreme driving like to take cures fast and track use
2. Summer only
3. winter/cold weather use
4.Garage queen (low miles)
5. Daily driver (drive year round)
6. Long wearing goal

You could check tirerack.com for reviews on tires. Daily driver, year round, long miles you are most likely want an all-season tire. Conti Extreme Contact DWS would be good. If low use, summer, and extreme driving you will want a hi-performance tire also known for fast wear.
