Northern California back roads demand a SLK this time of year... so I just bought one. Shocked expresson followed by big smile on SWMBO priceless. I expect repairs on this high miles example will not be priceless... but as no questions allowed here that will all have to wait 
In all seriousness, I would never have even considered a car old enough to drink before finding this really helpful community of fans, full of good advice. And yes, the ECU blower is stopped, and doesn't do anything even when poked... Likewise for the usual peeling (not not at all appealing) interior trim. But again, the posts on paint stripping & repait sounds like a good winter project.
