Hi all,

Tomorrow I'll go and pick up my SLK 320 -01! Can't wait!

It's in good condition for it's age, and the previous owner has taken good care of it with a solid service history and kept it in the garage when not used in the short Swedish summers.

But of course there are some minor things that I will attend to when I get it. The leather seats need a conditioning, the center console and handles have the typical color wear, and there are one or two small stone chip's on the paintwork as well. But a few hours work and all of this should be corrected!

As the title says I'm living in Sweden and more precisely in Stockholm.

I look forward to be part of this forum to benefit from all the collective wisdom that can be found here. And hopefully I can also add some down the line...

/Best Regards
Magnus

Welcome to SLKWorld.com: The #1 Mercedes-Benz SLK Forum from Valrico, Florida!

Some tips to make your visit here more enjoyable:
If you haven’t, please use the 'search' feature at the top right of the page for your questions as they have probably been asked before. Remember, ‘Search’ is your friend.
If you wish to become PM (Private Message) capable, you need 15 posts. To get those 15 posts quickly, just go to the ‘New members introduce yourself here’ section and welcome enough new members to obtain your needed posts to PM.
Want to post a picture? Start a new thread or make a post, click ‘edit’, click on the ‘paper clip’ or ‘advanced’ and/or ‘manage attachments’ then ‘choose file’ then ‘upload’ and ‘submit’! If Iphone pics, you need to rename any additional pics as Iphone names its pics all the same, image.jpg.
Want to ‘like’ or thank’ someone’s comments? Use the ‘like’ button to the right or the ‘Thanks’ button, bottom right of any post you like. This saves you having to comment.
New members should be aware that the 'New Posts' link next to the 'Search' link top right of the info bar is a great way to see all of the posts you have missed since you were on the forum last. Remember to click 'mark forums read' under ‘quick links’ when you leave.
Post your vin in the Vehicle Datacard Request section to get a free datacard (options on your car). You must update your profile with vehicle info and your location and post an introduction first.

Thanks for the welcome guys!

Yes, the interior is surprisingly well kept considering the tough climate a convertible has to cope with. I can tell you I sure saw some quite nasty SLK's before I went for this car...

And one of my first projects will also be to look into getting a plexiglass wind stopper between the roll-bars. The factory fabric version seem to work just fine but a plexiglass option is tempting for it's looks. I saw some nice examples when I searched this forum.

another R107 fan. excellent taste there Magnus

the friendly German fans invited us along to one of their meetings in 2005 ( we were in the neighbourhood). Here is the pub car park after the meeting at Sinsheim Auto Technik Museum, where we all went for a Pizza.

Thanks again for all the warm welcomes!

I got my car today and had my first long trip around the countryside in the sunshine with the top down! Wow, what a fantastic car the SLK is!

Silky smooth engine and gearbox, beautiful engine noise, good acceleration, stable in high speed, and a pleasure to drive. I love it!
