Just completed my first year with this great car, my first MB. I live in eastern PA in the winter, and on my boat elsewhere in the summer.

Likes: Handling, acceleration, stopping, parking, riding with the top down, and lots of people actually will walk over and say how much they like the car. I get 28 mpg on trips, and have lots of room in the trunk, even with the top down.

Dislikes: Goes through rear tires quickly, huge road noise from front-end, (may be a bad wheel bearing), "adjust tire pressure" and entire TPMS is herky-jerky (comes on and off every now and then for no reason). Under the hood? God help me! I want to change the air filter and this is the first time in my life (I'm over 55) I've been stumped as to where to begin. I'll take the day-long trip to the dealer and see about a service manual.

I plan to hold on to it, anyway!

Welcome.

1. Basically detach the round air tubes that connect to the air box.
2. Remove front deco piece.
3. Remove the vent hose from crankcase (located at the front of the rear piece that holds the air filters), will be obvious when the front piece is removed.
4. Unlatch the wire clamp at the rear with flathead screwdriver.
5. Lift and remove the air box.

Welcome from London! Loads of DIY's here, but putting your hands on the service CD's is a good place to start if you enjoy working on it yourself!
