Just joined the ranks of MB owners after 14 years with Jaguar. My SLC 200 arrived 2 days ago and I'm still finding my way round its systems and settings - but very impressed so far. This car has a lot to live up to, as it replaces my Jaguar XFS and my wife's MX-5, but with advancing years the urge to burn everyone off in the traffic lights grand prix has receded (a bit!) and I'm looking forward to more relaxed open-top cruising.

Some tips to make your visit here more enjoyable:
If you haven’t, please use the 'search' feature at the top right of the page for your questions as they have probably been asked before. Remember, ‘Search’ is your friend.
If you wish to become PM (Private Message) capable, you need 15 posts. To get those 15 posts quickly, just go to the ‘New members introduce yourself here’ section and welcome enough new members to obtain your needed posts to PM.
Want to post a picture? Start a new thread or make a post, click ‘edit’, click on the ‘paper clip’ or ‘advanced’ and/or ‘manage attachments’ then ‘choose file’ then ‘upload’ and ‘submit’! If Iphone pics, you need to rename any additional pics as Iphone names its pics all the same, image.jpg.
Want to ‘like’ or thank’ someone’s comments? Use the ‘like’ button to the right or the ‘Thanks’ button, bottom right of any post you like. This saves you having to comment.
New members should be aware that the 'New Posts' link next to the 'Search' link top right of the info bar is a great way to see all of the posts you have missed since you were on the forum last. Remember to click 'mark forums read' under ‘quick links’ when you leave.

Hi and welcome to SLKWorld.com from the UK Midlands - Thanks for joining us! :)

We have a few new members in the Devon/Cornwall area, I'm sure someone near you will be along shortly to say hi too.

We have quite a few members in the UK that like to meet up from time to time. If you're interested in joining us sometime, just keep an eye on the UK Region section, as we post meeting plans there! :tu:

There's a summary post that I maintain for all UK meets here, and links to examples and pictures from this year's past meets are available here.

Finally, we also recently started plotting where our UK members are - check out the thread for that here: SLKWorld UK & Ireland Members and Meeting Points Map

Thanks
Dave

Hi, and welcome to the Forum from Cornwall (only just across the Tamar) - from another (oldie) newbie.

Pleased that MB Exeter came good in the end - I have nothing but praise for my dealings with them.

The South West numbers are growing!

Thanks for the friendly welcome! Things have been a bit traumatic recently, after selling my lovely Jaguar XF S (which I had for 6 years) and my wife's beloved MX-5 (she had it for 13 years) but neither of these cars was being used much these days. We've also had a Skoda Yeti for 4 years to take grandchildren around and that is a nice car to drive and has taken most of the workload in recent years.

Now we have the SLC (as my car) I can see that I'll have to fight her for it; we've only had it for 3 days but both love driving it.
