I'm a new member and appreciate everyone's help, hints, tips and info. Here's my story. In the 70s and early 80s my dad owned and loved MG midgets. He sold the last own he owned in early 80s and for the next 35 years missed it and put off buying another one. 2 years ago he ran across a 98 slk, thought it was awesome and referred to it as a modern day MG midget. He let me drive it a couple times and a caught the SLK bug! I fell in love with the little car and have been looking at them ever since. This past week I found a nice firemist red, 1999 230 Kompressor with 55,000 miles on it, garage kept, clean as a pin. I decided to pull the trigger and have never been so happy to hand over 3800 bucks in my life! Lol! It has an issue with the door locks and dome light (probably PSE haven't got passed checking the fuses yet) other than that everything works great. Happy to be here and Thank you ahead of time for any advice on maintaining, owning and help anyone can give. I look forward to many miles of fun with this little car.

Yep, pse worth checking if fuses ok.
Note, SLKs need a tip top battery too.

Don't think this will work for you but try disconnecting battery for at least 30 mins.
Then resync windows.

Sometimes you get lucky and it's wuick and no cost to do.

Woot! And I thought I got a good deal, $4k for mine and higher miles...but, welcome! I just joined yesterday so glad there's another noob out there with the same vehicle.

I'm jealous yours is red, though. :D
