Hi all, I picked up a 2005 SLK350 last fall with 48k miles. I went with the manual over the V8. So far I've added the likely hood ribs, and the trunk spoiler, replaced the belt and pulleys, and found that the oil filter housing is leaking out that plastic bottom cover, so the updated part is in the mail. I have a set of TSW Bathhurst wheels and Michelin PSSs (-10lbs per wheel!) in the garage waiting for the $#!? to melt here in New Hampshire. I'm hoping it melts soon, as the first scca track day at Devens airfield is April 7th and that's one of the reasons I own this. I will have questions about what updates to make after I get some laps under my belt. I know there's a YouTube series on doing just this currently running. Other than that, this is my summer daily driver, keeping miles off my 2010 GLK350, hoping to get a few more years out of that.

Thanks for hosting a great site!

Several members doing track days. I don't.
I'd suggest getting a brace. Mercedes Benz SLK Forum - Search Results for R171 engine brace
It would help with the extra stresses as you fit more performance parts.
Brakes and suspension are worth visiting.
All the power in the world is worthless if the car can't handle it.
