Hi there, im Jason


Im new to the site and have purchased a 2005 slk350 (cat d insurance loss)


Found out about the site after taking on more than I can handle as sod works...I thought it would have been a well looked after motor; as the cost new was around 38K (have a funny feeling the last owner hit the tree on purpose after getting a quote from Mercedes for a new instrument cluster..


Did think I had a bargain till the roof refused to work...windows went down then nothing...not even whisper from motors...:crying:


Wish I could tell you the miles it had!! but the instrument panel is dead as a dodo!!! (I will be sending it off for repair soon so fingers crossed ).


I think we should all contact "watch dog" about the issue of the amount of clusters failing in slk's (AS YOU WILL BE NEXT)!!! might force Mercedes to hold the hands up and replace them at either cost price or free....>
