Hi everyone.
I'm Jim from the Northwoods in Wisconsin.

I have a problem with my 2006 SLK 280. Trying to research the headlights.
My High beams are out and one low beam and one side light marker have gone out

I'm pretty technical but need help trouble shooting in this area. Looking for replacement parts as well as steps necessary to make repairs (preferably videos).

Thanks to all for any help

More detail wth Bi-Xenon lights flickering

Here's my symptoms
first the right side hi beam would flicker on & off then after a while the left hi beam would flicker on & off then the right side marker light failed.

When I turn on the lights they turn on for a brief second, then the hi beams go out if I hold the stalk back they light up but go out as soon as I release the stalk.

Since the HI beams work intermittently, I tend to rule out a burned out hi beam bulb, think its more likely a ballast or ignitor.

It seems strange both right & left hi beams are both going out at the same time.

Also can the bulbs, ignitor & ballast all be replaced from inside the wheel well or must you remove the entire front bumper?

Any help troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated
Thanks - Jim

can be replaced through the wheel well.

you check fuses?

I will let the other experts chime in
The wiring loom in the trunk might be involved from opening and closing the trunk as I believe all lights go through the rear sam. But i've been wrong before

Are your HID/xenon factory options or aftermarket?

I have halogens but from what I understand the high beam bulb in a factory bi-xenon setup is actually a halogen - does that appear to be the case for yours too? Halogens almost never flicker on and off.
