Hi.

Bought an SLK a few months ago. It is an R170, year 2000 model. I bought it from Sydney Australia, and few there and drove it back to Adelaide (about 1,400 kms, or about 850 miles). In the process of adding sound deadening but also found that by reducing the tire pressure by a few pounds it rides smoother as well. It is a very fast car but since I am serving a one year probation period for speeding I've been practicing driving Miss Daisy by driving my mother-in-law around in order to keep my speed down :|.

Once I get some good photos I'll add them as well.

Hi Michael, welcome from Barrhead, Scotland.
G'day from Bribie Island. Good luck with the probationary licence. I've had my SKL 55 for just over 2 months now including driving it back from Melbourne, on a traffic permit and with no plates, and have still got all my points. I know! It surprises the **** out of me too.
