Hi everyone, just got my first MB a few weeks ago. 2006 SLK55 AMG. Don't have to tell you guys, what a cool and fun vehicle. I didn't have a good recent maintenance history on the car but thanks to the great posts and wealth of information I have already replaced the engine air filters, oil and filter, cabin air filter, bought new wheels (Mandrus Arrows) and now wondering about transmission and rear differential fluid changes. Thanks so much for sharing and glad to be part of the family!

Welcome from Wirral, England.

You've obviously started to develop the SLK grin.
Having a 55 it will eventually become an evil grin.
Great cars!

Amazing how many bikers end up with SLKs. There's loads of us here.
Big Dog? Is that a builder like Orange County or just a bike expression over there?

Anyhow, there are regional threads for meets, local info and such:

Post a reply with three shots of the 55 in this link:
and you'll have entered this months comp for free.
How cool is that?

Have you had a night time ride with the top tucked away yet?
Heating is good in the SLK and a moonlight night drive is as good as the bike.

Welcome from Beantown, USA.... Used to own an '05 55. A beast of a car. Take care of that car as you seem to be doing, and it will give you plenty of smiles and happiness... I loved mine as I am sure you will love yours... Enjoy top down driving...

Welcome to the forum. Concerning the maintenance items you wrote about: My advice, for what it's worth, is that if you have no evidence that any major service was not performed as per OEM recommendation, assume that it has NOT been done. And then of course, "Git 'Er Done".
