Hi All

New member from Sydney Aus. After much debate, decided to get in on the SLK action and tick off a bucket list.

I have recently bought a 2004 SLK 200 (not as impressive as some of the cars here!) but love driving it.

My need to switch out the existing Audio 20 brought me to this website and the forums have been extremely informative.

I am jot a diy person as itgenerally costs me twice as much, as I pay for the equipment to do a job and then have to pay again for someone else to fix up what I ruin and then do the job properly!

Cheers

Some tips to make your visit here more enjoyable:
If you haven’t, please use the 'search' feature at the top right of the page for your questions as they have probably been asked before. Remember, ‘Search’ is your friend.

Want to post a picture? Start a new thread or make a post, click ‘edit’, click on the ‘paper clip’ or ‘advanced’ and/or ‘manage attachments’ then ‘choose file’ then ‘upload’ and ‘submit’! If Iphone pics, you need to rename any additional pics as Iphone names its pics all the same, image.jpg.
Want to ‘like’ or thank’ someone’s comments? Use the ‘like’ button to the right or the ‘Thanks’ button, bottom right of any post you like. This saves you having to comment.
New members should be aware that the 'New Posts' link next to the 'Search' link top right of the info bar is a great way to see all of the posts you have missed since you were on the forum last. Remember to click 'mark forums read' under ‘quick links’ when you leave.

Hi Dave. It's always a pleasure to welcome another Aussie to the forum. We all love the SLK here, regardless of model, so enjoy what you've got as it's always a pleasure to drive, especially with the top down. We are developing a great following down under with groups in Qld and NSW getting together for regular meets. Enjoy the top down driving and the vast amount of knowledge and friendship you'll find on the site. :)
Hi Dave, and welcome from the UK Midlands! :)
Hi Dave, welcome from Wirral, England.

Sounds like we share the same mechanical skills.

As PhilD said, this site isn't about one upmanship, it's more like kindred spirits.
These little cars make you smile, regardless of engine, or spec.

Happy motoring.
Welcome from North Carolina, USA!
Hi Jbanks
Just going off the info in the paperwork, it says R170 but provides a separate manual for audio 20.

How can I find out for sure?

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
