So the red inside my 2600euro Slk was a bit tired so I decidede to use all the good knowledge on this forum to remove it all. So I used one evening to take it all apart, another day to soak the parts in my barthtub and an afternoon to assemble it all again. I used hot water mix with soap you use for washing clothes and a coarse brush and it worked like a charm. It has really transformed the look of the car. Now I am just waiting for the new leather to Arrive for the seats. They will become black with red stiches. Enjoy the fruit of my hard work

Great job. Can you add some better quality pictures of the final result please?
The unpainted plastic is usually satin or semi-gloss rather than the matt paint and it would be nice to see the new overall effect.
Did you manage to do all this without breaking the screw mounts? Some are very brittle.

I will try and get some better Q pics. The forum down scaled the pics. Yes I snapped some tabs but fortunately I had a 2K fast curing plastic glue which is very effective
