purchased my '05 SLK350 in January, had to wait a week for dry non-salty streets to get it home. finally got it out for a drive last weekend, about 600 miles. prior to that my trips were to the m-b dealer to fix stuff (maybe shouldn't buy a m-b from a buick dealer). loved it! I had been riding harley-davidson's since 1979 and was tired of the whole "lifestyle" ha! and sold them. I was in the buick dealer looking at a corvette that we couldn't get together on and this SLK came by. I asked if that was one of "those hard top drop tops", and the salesman didn't know. brought in the new car guy that had made the trade, the used car sale manager, and me - with cash in my pocket. ended up with my first m-b. the dealer kept it a week to run it through their service inspection and detail, then my previously mention delay for greasy streets. I do have another appointment with the m-b dealer to charge the a/c this week. seems when the charge gets low the computer turns off the compressor and it takes a magic m-b plug in to turn it back on to accept a refill. oh well. looking forward to having it out a about this summer.
