so how do I shrink the width of the listings? The name of the person who updated it last is truncated on the right hand side of my iPad.

I also noticed, I just made a posting in this thread, and when I clicked on the new posting icon it is not reflected as a new posting.

What a shame. Really not impressed with this new format. How do you access and send Private Messages? The indicator (tick) detailing where I have already contributed to a Thread eg. New Members is missing ? No quick way of seeing members profiles ?

I posted something in a forum this morning. I can see my posting if I navigate to that forum, but I don't see my posting when I click the "NEW" button at the top right.

I see that I am listed as a Premium member instead of Lifetime. Has there been a change in the membership structure?

So the default action when I click "NEW" is different from the old site "New Posts"? On the old site, this showed any thread that was updated "since my last visit" (although I do admit I don't understand what "visit" actually meant). Does the default action for todays NEW do something different?
Assuming I haven't altered any default filters:
If I reply to an existing thread X, and then immediately click "NEW", should I expect to see X?
If I create a new thread Y, and then immediately click "NEW", should I expect to see Y?

I would like to know how to turn off the Recommended Reading, I hate it when sites "recommend" and want it gone.
Maybe if that can't be done you could move the breadcrumb above Recommended Reading so it can sit there down the bottom, ignored and alone.
I am missing the inline spell check, I tested it with several misspelled words and couldn't see anything picking up on the spelling, this is a fundamentally basic function.

one question... how do I change the thread view to show the latest post first?

If enough say they do not like it can you revert back to the original?
This is how it will be, no going back. Resolved See https://www.slkworld.com/threads/we-are-live-community-feedback.554056/unread

One (more) question, when reading someone’s post, I can no longer see what car they own.
We used to see ‘171, 2005 200’ or similar alongside their post and it’s no longer there.
It’s a car forum, please can this be put back as it helps us answer questions when we know what car they drive.
One thing on the new forum that I am missing, or don't know how to quickly find, is the year model slk the member has. I have been using that information to befriend members, particularly those with SLK 32's.

I do like the new system, except for that.
PTB are working on putting that info under the user's name as in the old manner. Hopefully soon.

One of the first things we asked for on the "day of the new format".
We are working on this. I am hopping you will see it by the holiday.

In progress.

I can no longer get my signature viewable. It keeps saying 2 line(s) too long!!! Not sure I understand what is going on.

I'm getting to grips with the layout and functions but do have three little questions to ask:
  1. Why only 24 hours in which to edit a post? I've relied on the 10 day rule from the old forum every time I set up a DIY as it helps you to refine the info others may depend on in the future. This will only result in more work for the moderators.
  2. What do you mean 'I cannot delete a post'? That's going to result in even MORE work for the moderators! And extra time when the wrong post info is available for all to see.
  3. Why such a restrictive '4 lines / 1 picture' for the signature?
Are these default rules; rules from the hosting platform or decisions made as part of the migration?

Now... when Is the heading picture getting changed for one with 170, 171 and 172 models?
In progress. Banner will have 170, 171 & 172 models soon.
