Hello,

Greetings from Santa Clarita, CA. My name is Jolo. I am 20 years old, an LVN - working towards my RN. I just recently purchased a 1998 SLK just for the heck of it; and I'm absolutely enjoying every second I lay my hands on the steering wheel! It feels amazing to drive a Mercedes. But anyway, this forum seems to be extravagantly helpful especially since I know nothing of Mercedes, let alone cars in general. I'm also thinking of enrolling in a class that specializes in cars, was wondering also if there are classes that are specific to mercedes, heh.

Regards,
Jolo

Welcome from Eugene, Oregon via San Diego, California!
I don’t know about a general MB class, but there is one for the SLK specific; it goes on right here every day!
There are no diplomas, because the learning never ends :)

Welcome, Jolo, to the great MB experience. You probably will learn most everything you need to know about the SLK on this forum as soon as you become familiar with the "search" techniques. There are many knowledgeable folks on this site who are very willing to share their expertise with us neophytes. There are from time-to-time technical training sessions provided by the Mercedes Club of America, but they always seem to be located too far away to attend (at least from central Kentucky). You may get on the website and investigate the club and its schedule. Go to MBCA.org and see what they have to offer. You would be in the SouthWest Region of the club. Membership is not too cheap ($45.00 for one year), but the rewards are good. Members receive a wonderful bi-monthly MB magazine as well as discounts on MB parts from your MB dealer. A member can also purchase MBCA branded merchandise. This does not interest all people, but I am proud to wear the MB branded caps, jackets, etc. and also proud to display membership in such a super club. Again, welcome to the pride of MB ownership and all the great friends on this site.
