First, Welcome to the forum.

Second, there is a little button in the message editor that let's you post links.

Lastly, out of curiosity, what was the liquid and how did it get the unit? (so others can maybe avoid the same situation)

Sorry, don't know the answer.

I don't know if this is good advice or not, because it comes from the 1950s and 1960s. But salvage yards used to be good sources for replacement car radios (and OEM additions to cars that never had them). This "should" still be the case, as the radio is rarely "totaled" in a totaled" car.

On a related subject, I don't use the cup holder in any of my cars for cups of glasses of beverages. Only cans. never had a significant spill in any of the cars.

Hey Banej - never tried to fit a A20 from a CLS into a SLK - all I can tell you is that they are different MB part numbers. Not saying it won't work, just they are different part numbers.

I'd seriously consider going aftermarket - you can do it pretty easily - 'specially if you don't mind losing the steering wheel controls - and get a lot "more" for your money.

You can only use a SLK part for the headunit because they all have slightly different shapes and mounting holes.

John's right about going aftermarket since you have an Audio 20 not COMAND but just so you know you wont have the same level of integration as the factory unit.
