Boys,I've decided to make memyself a deflector for my Black Angel!
The material is polycarbonate probably 8mm.
I have a friend of mine with lasermashine...
So,I need some dimensions or drawing...or PDF file...
I'll appreciate if someone helps me!

When I made mine for the r170 , I placed a piece of cardboard behind the headrests and then transfered the forms of the headrests onto it .

I'm waiting for hot and sunny wheather... :)
But the most appropriate decision is placing cardboard behind rollbars...

On mine I removed the black clips inbetween the seats , drilled the screen and then using longer screws held the screnn in place with black clips !

Just found some 6mm Clear Acrylic for £14, Ebay never fails me!

Now just need to wait for the weather to improve :D

Also found a CLK grill (missing two chrome strips) for £6.50.... thought it must be worth trying to use sticky chrome strips to replace them and save myself £100 odd pounds.... Will up load pictures of both projects when they arrive! :) Love abit of DIY!

Question however... I have seem lots of deflectors with gaps, vents or slits in the plastic. Are these required for airflow reasons or can I still mount a solid bit of acrylic (cut to shape rollbars)???

the 171 OEM has vents along the base. I can only assume it stops turbulence inside the cabin. or to do with the slip stream creating pressure on the deflector ? I expect someone will have scientific answer :)

I went uber-cheap with mine and recycled the sunroof visor from my old Volvo.

Trimmed it with a rotary tool, reshaped it with a heat gun and 2 pieces of MDF to flatten it out a bit. Attached it with some velcro straps.

Looks ok from 10 feet but most importantly it works great.

Needs more stickers.
