ivyyoon - Sounds like Lexi was a hit with quite a few folks, thats one well-behaved and lucky dog, she gets to sit in an SLK!
lilnora - It was great hanging out with you & your brother afterwards. We should definitely do some 1/4 runs at Englishtown. That's the only way you'll know for sure you got a faster car than your brother. ;-)

i have to say lilnora...your bros car is pure ***!!! that is just simply stunning looking. csl carbon mixed with the white paint and tints looks simply superb. Not to mention your own car which is also a fantasy machine, loving your two tone leather!:hail:

Sorry everyone, i've been so busy lately i've had no time to edit the pics or post on SLKworld period.
The meet was great. Very nice meeting all of you and thank you for coming out and all the compliments on the car.
cldriver, thanks for the compliments... though my SLK is a 350 not a 55amg.
My pictures are pretty similar to Ivy's plus a few of lilnora's as well. Hope to get them posted tonight in the evening.
I would love a nice drive to PA... seeing 4 SLKs behind me on the highway was amazing. And when we pulled into that gas station, the attendent's jaw just dropped, never mind those walking around.
ivy, i didn't forget about the led/resistor specs. just really have not had any time to do much lately. I will get the part numbers for you as promised. also from your pics, it looks like we are going to have to hardwire your radar detector... that wire hanging just has to go
Lexi did great, as for your seat issue. I saw MB car seat covers that just slip on over the seats. So before you take her out, you could just throw on a set to help with the dirt issues.
Bill T, thanks for making that banner. it looks amazing, was the first thing i saw when i logged in right now. and thanks to Ivy for taking the pic
My pictures are finally here.
I am trying not to duplicate Ivy's pictures...
First 2 pictures are from the starting point at the Marriott. Second 2 were taken during the drive, which at one point looked like the "Clouds" commercial for SLK as the clouds were almost chasing us. The rest are from the meet at Roosevelt Park. Enjoy!
wow....amazing pics guys!!! love the 55 amg at the rear of the apck in the lined up pic. everyones cars look stunning!!
i noticed some of you guys have no front number plates?! is there no law in America to have one on the front?I took my front one of my old Audi and i continuoulsy got hassle from the cops. Looks much smoother and tidier without the plates I think.

there is law in america also, and also varies by state? i believe. but Nora and I both told the dealer we wouldnt purchase the car if they drilled holes int he bumper~I got pulled over once for it, but acted dumb to the police officer and he let me go. If you do get a ticket, it wont be much $40 in NJ? maybe...
but i think well worth it :tu:
noregret: great pictures~ and thanks for the info! you can hardwire my radar? its a escort...if you can pleaseplease help me! i hate the coil wire thing too. and are the seat covers you mentioned from the dealer?
sorry you've been so busy - send me pm when you get the chance..im not in a great hurry~had my slk the way it is for almost 2yrs now hahahaha
so take ur time and thanks always
another great excuse if you get pulled over is "the dealer has the front plate mounts on order... you know how those guys at the dealer are. I have my front plate in my trunk. Just have nothing to attach it to" -Keep the plate in the trunk, and if the hassle you. Just tell them the deal will have it within a few days. If you get a ticket, they will tell you you can void it once you get the plate on. bring in a pic or something and don't pay the ticket, if it ever goes that far
ivy, yes i can hardwire the escort. If you have the hardwire kit, its no problem, and if you don't well thats not much of a problem either. Do you move the radar from car to car? or is it just always in the SLK? if its in the SLK all the time, we can hard-wire the power, crack open your power plug and relocate the mute/leds to another place, if you use them.
Nice meet, great turnout, the SLK folks, I've seen around are much older, doubt if they want to meet anytime soon. I'm jealous, I'm moving to jersey. lol. It looks like a ton of fun, thanks for sharing.
