We are 4 weeks away from the SLK cook out, Saturday September 24, 2016 starting at 12 noon. This has been a fun event in the past. This year the price is $10.00 per person. The hot dogs and burgers and other items will included in the $10.00. The only thing we ask you to bring is your favorite beverage. We will supply everything else for the cook out.

Matt has the club house in his development reserved for us, where we are able to be talk and enjoy each other and do a little tire kicking in the process with out other people around. Matt has assured me that he will be careful and not have any accidents between now and the cook out. If you recall last year he had taken a fall just before our cook out and was in much pain.

Please reply back to me if you plan on attending and the name of anyone that will be attending with you. We need a head count to plan on the amount of food we need to have for the cook out. Please reply back by September 17th. RSVP to [email protected]

Good time to be at the beach as all the summer tourist have gone home. Weather is perfect for top down driving.

When I receive your RSVP I will reply back with directions to Cook Out. It will be in North Myrtle Beach, SC.

Actually Roxy, I have to bring Merlin. There is nobody that can watch him – and I cannot leave them alone for that long. Do you think there would be a problem to bring him? I don't know if anybody would object to my puppy being there, he really is very well behaved. Any input from the organizers of this event? Can I bring my puppy? If I can't bring him, I can't go.

I will help watch him of course, provided the organizers are good with it. I'm sure the clubhouse owners are not hip on puppy pee but at this point im assuming he is somewhat trained. I hope you can go. It's not for sure that we will but all signs are pointing towards yes.

And I promise not to grill your weiner dog.

Checking with Matt on what are the club house rules. Will let you know when I get a ruling.

He is very well behaved. I am pretty sure the odds of puppy pee are virtually zero. Of course, terminal cuteness is virtually guaranteed!

Got info back from Matt. Good News, Bad News. The good news you could bring your dog but the bad news it will not allowed inside the club house. The HOA has a rule no dogs permitted in the club house. Maybe you could use Roxanne suggestion is tie it outside. Sorry but we have to follow the HOA rules.

Ah yes, an HOA. That's where you pay your neighbors to tell you what to do, right? Seriously, I do understand, rules are rules and pee is pee.

Mensra, as stated, we will help tend to your outside puppy should you decide to bring him. I assume that he is leash trained. I suggest you tie a bow to him so he doesn't get mixed up with the actual hot dogs (sorry, I just can't get past that joke).

It might be better not to bring him, bc you know who is gonna be hooked and then I'll have to buy one....

For those attending: Piecha sent me a power converter for a 172, when I needed one for a171. They have since sent the correct one. I haven't returned the first one yet. I will bring it with me to the meet in case anyone is interested in buying it.

It's new, never installed. I have already discussed the matter with Marcus Piecha and it seems like a win/win/win.

See ya' there!

Picture of SLK's at Cook out

We had a good turn out for our cook out. Thanks Matt for the work you did to make this a success. Nice to see some old and new members come together to enjoy our cars as a group.
