I also bought a poser car and it took me 2 long hours to debadge it.
The previous owner came up with a silly excuse that he had no idea of what these badges mean and that his son had put them on without asking permission, as he also did to his mothers Audi Allroad A6 Tdi "RS6"

Anyway, here are some before and after pics.

Lots of members here I guess, that are willing to swap theirs without fins with yours. But I would leave them on. Much better looking with them than without. Besides, fins are something different then badging your non-AMG car with AMG badges or V6 Kompressor badges etc.
But that's my personal opinion.

I kinda like how they look from the inside. I am used to them. I think I will keep them and besides too much of a fuss to remove them.

Debaged cars are always better. I like the clean look.
The less badges the better. I Germany you could and can order
Mercedes without badges.

You left the fins on the bonnet. I think only the slk 55 amg has those on.
Only have the chrome fins on the side "vents" , the top is all black plastic fins. Speaking of the 2012 55 that is.

My 2012 SLK 350 has the factory installed chrome fins on the bonnet.
133 Chrome hood fin covers.
