My brake line lesson

Recently my right front brake line developed a hole from rubbing on the front of the oil pan. I put a patch in the line. When I was doing it, I noticed that there was another potential bad spot developing and decided that it was soon time to order the whole line from the dealer. Its a long line with a lot of bends, running from the left side of the car to the right side. I recently ordered the line and picked it up last week. Silly me, I forgot to ask if the line was pre-bent. Picked it up, it was one long straight line. I have a bender, but I've bent enough in the past to know that the odds of me bending the new line to exactly match and fit are not real good. Morale of the story, next time ask if the line is pre-bent.

It's never easy to inform the world of our mistakes,so thank you.

That might just save a few of us a lot of wasted time.

I've bent the lines for the old chromatographs, similar in size & and a royal pain to get bang on.
I suspect even more so for the car, as length of line will also have an effect on total volume of fluid used.
