Hi, does anyone know where we can get a set of mud flaps for our Slk r 170 went to the main dealers and they told us they don`t stock them, (not a good avert for anyone buying a new Merc) we don`t keep spares for a car after so many years.

Thanks in anticipation,
Chrissie..R)

Thanks for that, already looked at eBay and was a tad worried as they say the same item will fit front and rear wheel arches, some come with self tapping screws others with clamps.

Will have a look at MB poem sites, would really prefer genuine Merc parts as would like to paint them are colour as the car. R)

fyi, thread is 2 years ago
luckily she was on 5 days ago and can respond
@Chrissy Landar to notify her :D

you really want mud flaps? your slk should have 2 pig ear mudflaps on rear arch now, no?
Looks are important but the mud flaps idea was more concerned with protection, as of yet we haven`t fitted any.:surprise:

You still want them for the 170?

Or, for a 171 now?
Mud flaps are for SUVs and 4X4s............

We live up a farm track so actually although they might not look very nice they serve a purpose.
Sometimes a necessary evil.0:)

Oh yeah sorry Myke for our 171. perhaps a sunglow colour might make them stand out...

Or perhaps not.:nerd:
Wouldn’t happen to be the dealer at the oaks Chrissy.
Tried them for my stupid cable for phone and stereo told me my car was too old to keep parts and you probably won’t get one and it will be very expensive.
Thanks to Myk and the wonderful inter web and lots of searching £50 and sorted.
Rear Mud Flaps
When restoring my Slk 320 I too searched everywhere for Mud Flaps.

I found 2 pairs, One in Germany, the other in Austria. I purchased both since they
seemed to be as rare as "hens teeth".
I have the second set , now in original packaging, although the plastic bag has seen better days.
Original part with Part Number B6 52 8155 German Label is Schmutzfanger. All fittings and instruction
manual included.

Happy to sell it on a cost.

Regards
