I have one of those questions to ask which I should know !

I have always thought that my slk 230k facelift done 19 mpg urban 24 extra urban but I have been on auto trader and one is saying 25 mpg urban and another is saying 22 mpg urban.

I had a look on the net and i'm getting different mpg numbers !

So I thought hold your head up in shame for not knowing this but come and ask all of you as we both know you know your SLK's.

Where the hell did I get 19 mpg from

I usually get around 28-29 mpg with mine in overall driving and about 26-27 if it is mostly around town. I haven't done a long highway trip yet so that will remain a mystery as to just what mileage I'll get.

I gotta tell ya, I'm pleased with the mileage so far.

.. .. .. and don't forget the difference between 'merricun & imperial gallons. American consumption figures will always be different to UK ones.

25 mpg 'merican is good for 30 mppg ( that's Miles Per Proper Gallon :) )

An imperial Uk gallon is another 500ml of fuel

19 mpg in a 230!!!!! Ouch. I get a little, a very, very little admittedly, over 21 mpg in my '55 around town! On the motorway at around 70 it's positively thrifty although not in Prius territory.
