A test prototype of the Mercedes-Benz GLC has been photographed with minimal camouflage.
Spotted by a reader of IndianAutosBlog in Stuttgart, Germany, the vehicle has some camouflage on the headlights and taillights, as well as the bumpers. All other body details appear to be in their final production form.
The GLC will serve as a replacement for the blocky GLK and is expected before the end of the year, possibly in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show while the fully-fledged AMG version should follow early 2016. It will be based on the MRA platform that also underpins the C-Class and will share its engine lineup with the same model.
A coupe version of the GLC was also confirmed for production. The design of the model will be largely carried over from the GLC Coupe Concept, but some of the more extreme styling elements, such as the slender mirrors and aggressive exhaust system, won’t be featured.
