Mercedes-Benz SLC with optional Night Package

The Mercedes-Benz SLC was introduced just a few weeks ago as a facelifted R172 SLK roadster. Beyond the new moniker that is in line with the company’s current naming strategy, the SLC gains a slew of styling updates as well. To further enhance its visual presence, a Night Package has been listed as a cost option for the new roadster.

The Night Package will be available for all variants of the SLC – SLC 180, SLC 200, SLC 250d, SLC 300 models and range-topping AMG model, the SLC 43. As the name suggests, the styling package introduces several changes to the car’s exterior with a penchant for the colour black.

The non-AMG models will receive Mercedes’ diamond radiator front grille finished in chrome, with high-gloss black accents. The same treatment is applied on the SLC’s front splitter and diffuser (trim strip) as well. At the rear, the exhaust tailpipes are now black chrome-plated. New 18-inch AMG multi-spoke wheels in a high-gloss lacquered black finish are also available with 225/40ZR18 front and 245/35ZR18 rear tyres.

Meanwhile, the flagship Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 (above) receives a high-gloss black treatment for the front splitter, front apron fins, side mirror caps and trim strip diffuser. Elesewhere, the AMG sports exhaust system now comes with black chrome tailpipes.

Unfortunately, prices for the new Mercedes-Benz SLC roadster will only be announced mid-January 2016, which should include the prices for the Night Package as well.

I hope someone does a 'head to head' with a real AMG and not this 'One Robot, One Engine' nonsense.

Personally I don't care if it's a shade quicker or a shade darker, 'Night Package' another marketing gimmick:frown:.... it will never be the 'real deal'.. Long live 'One Man, One Engine' >:D

Actually I am beginning to grow on the softer lines...dammit:surprise:

Oh look! Mercedes are aping Audi again. s-line Black vs. AMG Sport Night Package.

C'mon Mercedes marketing department - you can do better than this, surely?

I've become a bit disenchanted with silver cars lately, I've had a couple in the past but they tend to become a bit anonymous amongst the sea of silver drudgemobiles.

However, the picture of the silver one with black highlights above has an an appealing monochrome quality, it's very well photographed to show the car at it's best. All credit to the MB publicity dept! (shame about the red seats though)

Thanks wja96, I didn't know of the Audi s-line Black editions, but they do say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!
Well you may not like silver and red interior, and your right it does blend in with the traffic which is why the cops never see me or catch me. >:D

Copy, no copy, I'd still rather have MB over Audi across the entire range. I like it's looks, but probably not it's price.
IMHO the silver/red combo is very nice looking. I think maybe somebody

at MB just walked over to the museum and went AAAAAAHHHHHAAAAAAAA.

My old G35 was silver with black interior and my new SLK350 is silver with red seats & black interior. What can I say, I like the look!

And the sharp-eyed will notice it looks fabulous without any gloss black highlights.
