I guess the people south of Canada do not like a Station Wagon. I can not understand why because the 300 TD wagon sold very well and people still keep looking for them today.

Mercedes-Benz has decided that North America deserves another wagon. The bad news is that it is destined only for Canada.
The wagon in question is the C-Class wagon. Sold elsewhere in the world for a couple of years, the C-Class wagon will only come in one configuration for Canada.
The C300d 4Matic will come equipped with a turbocharged 2.1L four-cylinder diesel with 200 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. Power flows to all four wheels via Mercedes' 4Matic all-wheel drive system. No transmission is mentioned, but it would be safe to assume that it will be a seven-speed automatic. Mercedes' Airmatic suspension will be an option as well. As for cargo space, Mercedes says the C-Class Wagon has a maximum cargo capacity of 53 cubic feet, not far from the E-Class wagon's 57.4 cubic feet.
Mercedes-Benz hasn't announced pricing or when it go on sale in Canada.
Now if you're still holding out hope that Mercedes-Benz will bring the C-Class to the U.S., Autoblog asked Mercedes-Benz USA about it. This was the response they got back from a spokesperson.
"There are no plans to bring the C-Class Wagon to the US market based on unique market conditions. We are proud to have 100 percent market share with the E350 4Matic wagon and Mercedes-AMG E63 wagon in the US market."

It should be noted this isn't the first vehicle Mercedes-Benz has only sold in Canada. The B-Class which is a small minivan or what Mercedes calls a “compact sports tourer” has been on sale since 2005.

Bastards. We would order one to replace our C230 Kompressor. The E350 and E63S are too large and too expensive for us. Bring us a well-equipped C300d wagon for $50k and we'd be there. Some of us would love a wagon without a mortgage to go with it.
