Headliner dropped down to look and both sides do turn and move the locks round seems unless wrong further behind seats unless am wrongIs your headliner still in place and your roof closed?
This is almost certainly a switch problem, most likely switch S69/2 or S69/3 is stuck closed. The only ways to tell for sure are to look at them (which you can't do until the headliner is removed) or measure them electrically. Try this though: operate the roof until it stalls. With the soft side of your fist, give the headliner a good rap or two in the front-left and front-right corners. Then try to continue operating the roof. Sometimes (!) this will dislodge a stuck switch.
Lower probablity but still possible: S69/9.
Are you handy with a multimeter?
Ok will try that tomorrow thanks and post what happens if anything . ThanksIf you look on the left and right rotary mechanisms you'll see each has a very small switch attached; these are S69/2 and S69/3. They have a little rubber cap on them. With the latches unlatched, reach up there and press the switches manually - and see if one (or both) appears stuck.
