In researching my lifter issue(s) http://www.slkworld.com/amgs/442194-lifter-tappet-issue.html , I started considering the MDS system. I really love this system for the super fuel economy aspect when highway driving.

Does anyone know: the MDS system shuts down/parks 4 cylinders (technical details are not important to this question).

Do the same 4 cyl shut down each time or do they "take turns"? Not necessarily on the same trip but but over different trips?

I'm wondering this because of my noisy lifter problem. I did the 1 hour/3000 rpm run again today (did the same yesterday) but want to wait and see if they're still noisy at start up.

If it's the same 4 cyl every time might that be the source of my sticky lifters?
