I learned last year [early] that the MB wheel caps come in different sizes depending on the wheel you want.

I am interested in hearing from the owners that have already swapped out their rims but were able to keep their MB caps with new non oem rims. Is it even possible? And if yes what did you buy? I have oem rims now with new black caps. Next year I would like to change to A/M rims, but keep the black cap. The more research I do, the more impossible it would seem.

Anyone have any luck in doing so? Just curious..

Thanks

When I ordered my rims from oemwheelplus.com , I ordered mine with MB wheel caps. It worked out perfectly so far. Pretty easy folks to work with. I think the wheel caps I've been seeing are something like 75mm.

Check the diameter of the center cap on the wheels you are interested in.

The center caps on all the R171s I have seen are 75 mm. You can measure the ones you have now to confirm.

Some aftermarket wheels have 60 mm caps or other sizes. You can check eBay for MB caps in alternate sizes.
