I taken my car in yesterday for a major service !
Good news obviously she drives like a dream love her !
Bad news they have given me a list of jobs.
Front brake discs, pads and sensor needs replacing ( to be expected wear and tear)

advisories :
Slight play in both front drag link,
Slight play in both front lower ball joints,
Both front caster bushes have started to split,
Slight oil leak to rear diff,
Both rear shock absorbers are weeping slightly,
Both rear road springs are slightly corroded,

My job for the next few months work and save work and save :(

Sorry to hear this , sort out a list in order of importance and bit by bit , I know if I had any major repairs at the moment , the car would have to wait !

Luckily I don't need my car for work, so that is a relief.
The parts are not that expensive £40-60 don't get me wrong that would put food on the table for 2-3 weeks but for a merc it's not that bad, it's the labour and vat that gets me every time :-( well vat can't expect any one to work for free lol

I'm going to stick with her, she starts every time first time, its just everything else thats wrong with her ha ha :burnout:

When is your MOT due? I think the only practical approach is attend to them in order of MOT priority. Might be worth going a few months early to see what it fails on. You can still drive legally on your existing ticket.

It's due in August, I have managed to get the money for the pads, disc, sensor and gear box electric plug as I really do not want to driver her knowing those items need changing £335. and thats with 10% of the parts.

I will ask them for a breakdown on all the other parts and I am going to take your advice and take it a month early for the mot!

She is paid of in August so that will help ! taking a pay cut never helped though I can promise you that lol:burnout:

That sounds just like my old face lift 230 that I px'd in August. The drag link is the expensive bit. On the facelift models it is slightly different and more expensive. ECP do stock them but make sure you confirm its the right one. (your reg doesnt end in GAX does it?)
