A RED 172 200! The same colour as Mabel. It pulled into Morrison's Alness car park today as I was leaving. So a quick lap of the car park, and I pulled up along side. It, or I should say she, was being driven by a lovely lady called Greer (hope I spelt it right) who was with her daughter, and turns out to live locally. Offering her a forum card, we got talking, and she told me that it was her second SLk, and that she loved them. I was enthusing about the forum and about the mods I'd done as a result of being on it, and pointed out my Wind Restrictor. She showed me her Mercedes fitted screens, fitted in the roll bars, but had no centre screen, which she said she was interested in getting. (I will have to investigate these small screens further for Mabel!!) After our brief chat, during which I also found out her car was called Murphy, we parted company and she told me she would check the forum out.

Murphy is definitely a she. Apparently the name came about because her daughter couldn't say Mercedes when she was little, it came out sounding like Murphy, and it stuck. :)

Do you mean these?

172 SLK cognoscenti refer to those as Airguide, and they rotate on their dials from behind the rollbars to a position in-between, to form a centre screen.

Mildly amusing if she did not know this.

Thanks. Those are they. My mistake for not getting a better look art them.
I thought they were fixed.
