I decided to change the original Intake Resonator Pipe (Up) to the last version (down) as the new version is less obstructive than the old:

572484

I did this when checking my timing chain this weekend (all good at 130k Kms, thanks to Mobil 1).

The car is really different, feels more responsive at low revs.

The thing is, is this new found soul from the upgraded pipe or from the clean PCV valve (embedded in valve cover)?

If it is from the pipe it is really notorious, if it was a dirty PCV I recommend cleaning!

I hate when I change two variables at the same time!

Does anyone have experience on this?

PCV valve .. positive crankcase ventilation ... is exactly what it means ,, so thus will not increase performance , but will assist engine operation .. If your new INLET pipe is allowing a greater VOLUME of air to enter your cylinders then yes you will see a difference in performance.. Especially since you have a forced induction set up !! just my two cents on this subject
