My 2017 SLC 43 had this weird thing where, when slowing to a stop, it would lurch forward right before coming to a full stop. It was as if I let my foot off the break pedal rapidly but only for a split second. It was more prevalent in Sport or Sport+ modes.

Well, I recently began having engine misfire issues when gunning pedal to the medal in Sport+, especially if on an incline. The first time the dealer reset code, moved coil and spark plug from misfired cylinder to two different ones. It happened again, ON THE WAY HOME from that service. Took it back same day.

After getting shop forman involved they found a similar case with MBUSA. The solution there was a transmission and engine software update. So they did that. Ive had it back 48 hours now and no recurrence of misfire so far.

Added bonus is the lunging forward when stopping in Sport seems resolved as well! So maybe that lunging issue was a transmission software problem.

Now I just need to take it to a dyno to make sure the software update didnt neuter performance, as it feels ever so slightly slower than before, but that might just be paranoia.

Do you happen to know specs about the transmission/engine software update your tech got from MBUSA?

Getting ready to contact them to report the same issue with our 4-cyl turbo (2017 SLC300) & hoping there is a comparable update for our engine.

Unfortunately I do not. I called and asked yesterday after seeing your post, but all they could tell me was that a software update was performed. Apparently they dont keep records, or at least are unwilling to share the specifics with a customer.
