I am looking for plastic pin that connects the plastic trunk cover (R171).

I attached a picture as a reference. The local dealer contacted MB USA and MB USA told them I can only order the entire trunk cover which costs $500. I just need two plastic pins. The bigger pins that hold the other arms (that are available from MB) do not fit in the hole.

Please help!

post your vin and we can look in epc to see if the pins have separate part numbers. if they do you should be able to order them separately from mb or online

I think it is the part inside the red circle on post #1.

makes sense, then part 530 should be able to be purchased separately and that is what he needs?

He did mention "plastic pin that connects the plastic trunk cover (R171)."

Hi,
This diagram is great as i can see an item which is missing which i bought the car.
I found it out when my boot separator on the left side fell off and then realise that the fastener or rivet the holds the left hinge of the boot separator missing and i think the part is no. 530 of the diagram.
I have been trying to get one but to no avail and hope you can advise me where i can order it and the exact part no. .
Thank you in advance.

I've noticed a lot of people are having issues with the plastic pivot
pin associated with the partition panel (including myself)
Now I know this fix won't satisfy the purists who wish to keep
their car original but I like to tinker and look for alternative options.
Remove the pin, run an 8mm tap through the hole, screw in a 35mm
long st/st button head socket head bolt. The thread in the plastic will
not be very long or deep so be careful (it doesn't need to be tight)
I think it makes a tidy alternative.
