Hi

I've called Mercedes and they told me these were discontinued. Been looking on other sites but I'm looking for OE. Does anyone know of a place where they still sell them?

Thanks
Juan

They are feeding you a line.
The M112 engine in the E32 configuration was used until 2006 in cars and in 2010 in a van for a number of years.
If I can buy body parts for an 18 yr old car through my dealer and get them special order in a week or two I am certain you can get OEM engine parts for the M112 engine.
I suggest you contact a different dealer and get them to order them. You will likely have to pay up front for them to special order the parts.

Hi Myk / Alex .............

Just to clarify, my now deleted post was not addressed at Alex 3, it wasn't actually addressed at anyone in particular, I was confused over what the post was actually about as the thread was wandering between Main Bearings, Gaskets and Seals and Wheel Bearings.

Had I been certain exactly what part the OP was after I could have possibly listed a source specific to his territory.

However, I very much doubt that MB make the bearings. They will be bought in from a specialist engine parts manufacturer. Difficult to find who the supplier is or perhaps suppliers as manufacturers change them.

So if you buy from a good quality supplier you will end up with the same quality but possibly cheaper.

/\ /\ /\ Exactly this, which IIRC was exactly what I replied in another thread ?? (Possibly from same OP and with the same or very similar Title) ;)

The same thing would also apply to Gaskets and Seal for Engines ;)

That is really the point isn't it. MB is not, to my knowledge a bearing manufacturer and has high quality sourcing. The OEM aspect would assure one of getting factory spec quality and maybe not junk out of China but usually they are build to s size and tolerance by a number of quality houses such as Timken, SKF, NTN etc.

Timken, SKF, NTN
I don't think any of them make Shell Bearings (Big Ends and Main Bearings) or Gaskets for Engines.
Roller Bearings and Ball Race Bearings like for example Wheel Bearings yes ;)

Reinz make good gaskets for MB's and Vandervell or AE Hepolite are the go to guys in UK for Big End and Main Bearings, Pistons and Oil Pumps and other internal Engine parts too
