Hello all, I have a 03 230 with a very light power steering fluid leak from the power steering shaft seal. I was wondering if I could use some Lucas power steering stop leak. I don't wish to incur the wrath of the Mercedes Gods my using an unapproved fluid. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I personally would not ever add any kind of a stop leak to any system in my car unless it was an absolute last straw. I say find the issue and fix it. Might be something as simple as a loose clamp or a cracked hose.

Light power steering leak

Thanks for your input Sokoloff, my mechanic located the leak at the power steering shaft seal. At this point he is just keeping an eye on it. I was just hoping for a $10.00 fix over a $1000 one. My knowledge of stop leak fluid is limited to the claims on the bottle I have to admit. I live in Indiana, home of Lucas Oil Stadium, I want to believe!!!
