My question is: Is there an "Oil Cooler" in the middle of the V8 engine that can leak oil that runs down inside the 'Bell Housing' giving the impression that the RMS is leaking?

Reason: I went to my local MB Indy to have my 55 AMG booked in to have the RMS replaced as it has been leaking for over a year now (Not much but I'd like it done) and the mechanic said that: It's not just the RMS that can leak and run out the bottom of the bell housing but the 'Oil Cooler' in between the V engine. I have heard the rear of the valve cover gaskets and rubber plugs, but never the so called oil cooler? Can any of you knowledgeable guys give me any insight on this statement, before my car goes in to have the RMS changed next week. I want to know if the guy is pulling my chain (So to speak) so that I can be armed and ready, lol...:|
