Just bought SLK230- haven't even got it yet

Hi all,

I just bought a 99 SLK230 manual transmission for my girlfriend. We travel around in our RV. We went down to the Keys for the holidays and we rented a convertible to travel down to Key West so we wouldn't have to take the RV and the smile on her face was priceless. We have plans on going full time in the RV and towing our motorcycles, but then I thought that a convertible would be better. After researching, I landed on the MB SLK230. I am having the dealer look it over before I make the final purchase but have been told that it looks good. The one thing I did not think to ask before buying the SLK230 was can I even tow it behind an RV and what is the best method (I was thinking of dolly the front wheels since it is manual transmission). Any suggestions would be beneficial. I also want to get a better sound out of the exhaust and any suggestions there would be great. Thanks for letting me be a part of the community.

Reggie

Reggie, you are very limited on what you can do for sound/exhaust on a 4 cylinder, even with that supercharger :D

Hi Reggie, and welcome from the UK Midlands! :)
Congrats on the potential purchase. If you can do tow it like that, the lies will pile up though. Not so sure it is towable. Perhaps someone will chime n that has done it. You could ask the dealer that same question.
