Funeral director Mitani Hisao from Tokyo, Japan attracts a lot of attention when he patiently takes his pet African spurred tortoise, named Bon-chan, for long walks around the neighborhood.

We had an ordinary tortoise called Tessie.. she lived for many years in a large pen in our garden, but would enjoy going with us into the park opposite our home. We would chat with neighbours walking their dogs, while Tessie would wander up and down munching on the dandelions and plantains... always surprised folk to see how quickly she could move.
