Hello. My name is Peter and I just bought a 2002 SLK230 with the turbocharged (funny, no turbo lag) 2.3 liter engine and a 6 speed transmission and 101k miles on the clock. Whomever the previous owner was really loved this car based on what I am seeing, so I hope to treat her well. There are a few things that need to be done on the car, notably the lock cylinder is sticking and I want to double check on some of the other PM work. Thank you in advance for the help and advice.

Welcome from Portland, Oregon. If you like group events/drives check out the SLK NW Group under the clubs section of the forum. They are based out of the Seattle area and meet at least once a month if not more often. Enjoy the forum and the top down driving.

2002 230 is not turbo charged there fore no lag. It is super charged, they do not have a lag as it is belt driven all the time. No need for exhaust pressure to build up.

2002 230 is not turbo charged there fore no lag. It is super charged, they do not have a lag as it is belt driven all the time. No need for exhaust pressure to build up.
LOL! Yeah, I figured that out after I opened the manual. My erroneous assumption about the Kompressor designation. Thanks!
