I am the proud new owner of a 1998 SLK230. It is white with the AMG body kit with 18 inch rims. It is my first convertible and I am finding it an absolute delight to drive with the roof down(apart from the sunburn - lol). I will post an image or two in the near future.

Welcome to SLKWorld.com: The #1 Mercedes-Benz SLK Forum from Florida!

First please update your location and vehicle (Put Looking!)(year?: 1996-2017, model?: 32, 200, 230, 250, 280, 300,320,350,55) in your profile as it helps the members answer your questions which usually are based on that information if you haven’t. This takes about 30 seconds to do.
Follow exactly to update: ‘Usercp’ at the top of page, then ‘edit your details’ on the left side, ‘additional information’ near the bottom, edit your ‘location’ and ‘vehicle’. Info in your garage does not update your profile.

Some tips to make your visit here more enjoyable:
If you haven’t, please use the 'search' feature at the top right of the page for your questions as they have probably been asked before. Remember, ‘Search’ is your friend.
If you wish to become PM (Private Message) capable or to ‘edit’, you need 15 posts. To get those 15 posts quickly, just go to the ‘New members introduce yourself here’ section and welcome enough new members to obtain your needed posts to PM/edit. You can always pm a moderator.
Want to post a picture? Start a new thread or make a post, click ‘edit’, click on the ‘paper clip’ or ‘advanced’ and/or ‘manage attachments’ then ‘choose file’ then ‘upload’ and ‘submit’! If Iphone pics, you need to rename any additional pics as Iphone names its pics all the same, image.jpg.
Want to ‘like’ or thank’ someone’s comments? Use the ‘like’ button to the right or the ‘Thanks’ button, bottom right of any post you like. This saves you having to comment.
New members should be aware that the 'New Posts' link next to the 'Search' link top right of the info bar is a great way to see all of the posts you have missed since you were on the forum last. Remember to click 'mark forums read' under ‘quick links’ when you leave.
FREE!! Post your vin in the Vehicle Datacard Request section to get a free datacard (options on your car). You must update your profile with vehicle info and your location and post an introduction first.

Hi and welcome to SLKWorld.com from the UK Midlands - Thanks for joining us and posting an intro! :)

First please update your profile with your location (I guess it's not the UK, if you're getting sunburnt) and vehicle year and model (e.g. "1998 SLK230"), if you haven’t already done so, as it helps the members answer your questions which usually are based on that information.
Follow this to update: ‘User CP’ at the top of page, then ‘edit your details’ on the left side, ‘additional information’ near the bottom, edit your ‘location’ and ‘vehicle’ (and then click ‘SAVE CHANGES’ button at the bottom of the page). Info in your garage does not update your profile.

Thank you

I tried to find where to update my profile but the option doesn't seem to be available to me.
I am using a smart phone(Samsung Note 4), logged in via Facebook and have tried both the website and Tapatalk. My PC will be fixed sometime in the next week so I should be able to update my profile that way. I just thought as a mod you might like to know of my experience.

we understand. Update when you can. Surely,(Don't call me Shirley) you have a friend with pc or mac :D :D

you need to get out of enhanced mode on your phone
also get out of tapatalk
get out of facebook

just go to slkworld.com and login and try to update as below

try this

How to update your profile on a Smartphone
When we request you update your profile and you are on your smartphone, chances are you would if you could locate the usercp (User Control Panel)

You need then to exit 'enhanced mode' of the website or Tapatalk
use the menu at the top of your smartphone and then scroll down to 'exit enhanced mode'
Once you exit, you will see usercp to update:

First please update your location and vehicle (year?: 1996-2016, model?: 32, 200, 230, 250, 280, 300,320,350,55) in your profile as it helps the members answer your questions which usually are based on that information if you haven’t. This takes about 30 seconds to do.

Please update your vehicle/location details:
The reason that we ask you to update vehicle/location details is to save repeating the same
information every time that you ask a question.
Also, this site is truly worldwide. That can matter when you ask for help and information.
Are you looking for a bonnet, or a hood, a boot, or a trunk? Makes a difference.

Welcome from Wirral, England.

We have a free to enter monthly competition.
Entry is open from the 1st to the 15th of every month. You simply post a reply with 3 photos.
After the 15th we usually open a poll for members to vote on their favourite.
Here's the main thread:

This month's entries:

About time there was a winner from down under.
Of course, an NZ winner would be down under too!
You wouldn't mind that, would you :D
