Hi, I've had a search of the forums and cant find any relating to my particular problem (That's not to say there isn't one!)

I am getting an intermittent coolant warning light come on when driving.

Engine temp is not raised, Coolant level is good and I am not losing fluid, The radiator fan is working so I am assuming the thermostat is good.

The light comes on both at low and high speeds. It illuminates for varying times.

Can anyone shed any light on the problem?

Thanks

Sorry. I replaced the cap to the overflow/expansion tank. It looks just like a typical radiator pressure cap, located on top of the white plastic tank. I had a pressure test done on my coolant system and it was fine, so the determination was that my cap was not holding adequate pressure, and thereby producing an intermittent low coolant warning. Sure enough, when I replaced the cap, the problem was solved. Hope that helps.
